I’m Ian

I am a writer and educator.

I’m the author of the The Irish Culture Books series, activity books aimed at language students studying English in Ireland, a novel ‘God on a Bicycle’. and a short story ‘Speech! Speech!’ (read story here) which was published in the short story collection, ‘A Pint and a Haircut.

I have worked as a teacher, as a content creator, Academic Director of educational organisations, an examiner, teacher trainer. From Ireland, I have also lived in Spain, Italy and Switzerland.

I’ve also worked in no particular order as a furniture mover, security guard, barman, in a garage, in fast food restaurants and as a life-model.

I have represented both Ireland and Switzerland in Touch Rugby at World Cups and European Championships.

I have masters in English literature and English linguistics.
