HIRING A COPYWRITER OR CONTENT WRITER

CONTACT

I offer a remote copywriting service to clients both within Ireland and further afield. The best way to contact me in the first instance is by emailing or using the contact form on the website. I always try to respond to enquiries within one working day. On-site attendance may be possible in some instances for larger projects. Again, just ask.

When you first contact me I will ask you for some basic information about what you need and when you need it, to ensure that I can provide what you’re looking for and can complete the task within your deadline.

BRIEF

I will ask you for a brief which should outline exactly what you need so that we are both clear on what I will do for you, and so that I can give you a clear costing.

Discussing and understanding the project in the initial stages is very important and allows me to get a sense of your business or organisation and the characteristics of your intended audience. I work to exact briefs and produce original content written just for you.

An appropriate brief might be a paragraph long or several pages depending on the project. If you require help or input constructing the brief, I can assist you with this.


PROPOSAL

I will send you a quote. I charge on a project basis, giving you a fixed cost upfront. This charge is based on my experience of the time it will take, the expertise I bring and the value I add.


THE WORK

Before commencing work, I may ask you to complete a more in-depth questionnaire, the answers to which will give me the detailed information I need.

Research will be undertaken as required by your goals, your customers’ motivations and the call to action. A first draft will be supplied to you as an editable Word file or other format as requested.


REVIEW

You should read the copy, making sure that I’ve understood the brief correctly and that style of language, tone of voice, spelling and grammar are correct. I’ll liaise with you to get your feedback and incorporate it into a second draft, with any final alterations being made in the final draft.

Requests for further revisions made due to changes in preferences on the client’s part may attract an additional fee. This might occur, for example, if you change your mind about the approach you want, or if you wish to add information etc.

You will be able to easily process and integrate the final text into your website, brochure, or other content as required.


PAYMENT

Once you’re satisfied with the work, I will ask you to confirm your approval by email. I will then send you an invoice for the work. All invoices are sent electronically, unless agreed otherwise, and are payable within 21 days of receipt.

Once payment has been made for your completed project, copyright hands over to you in full.
